Your long-awaited Tanzanian safari adventure begins today! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and provided with a brief overview of the journey ahead. We’ll address any questions you might have before beginning your exploration of this incredible country.

Spend some time in Arusha, a lively city brimming with energy. Its bustling streets offer a vibrant display of local life. The city also features colorful markets, fascinating museums, and a dynamic food scene, providing an authentic glimpse into Tanzanian culture beyond the safari parks.

You're staying at one of Arusha's premier hotels, so expect high levels of service and facilities. Most rooms at Mount Meru Hotel have views, either of Mt Meru or a golf course and the city beyond. Discover the beauty of Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant populations. The park also hosts diverse wildlife, including wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys, and zebras. You’ll traverse rugged landscapes featuring rocky hills, rivers, swamps, and savannah plains. Tarangire is also a stronghold for lions and offers the chance to spot leopards and cheetahs.

• Embark on a guided game drive to search for lions, elephants, and other wildlife amidst Tarangire’s breathtaking scenery.

• Enjoy another guided game drive in Tarangire National Park, maximizing your chances of spotting a variety of animals.

• Lemala Mpingo Ridge
  Lemala Mpingo Ridge has amazing views from the 15 tented suites. Look out over Tarangire from your tent's private deck. You can even enjoy a bath in a private bathtub which is situated outside. Tents are spacious inside with en-suite bathrooms. The main lodge features a lounge and bar, indoor and outdoor dining areas, a spa and a swimming pool.

• Continue exploring the Serengeti on another guided game drive, searching for even more wildlife.

• Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp
  One of the joys of staying at Elewana Serengeti Pioneer Camp is being in a part of the Serengeti that very few visitors get to see, and yet you're close to the big wildlife populations for which the park is famous. The tented rooms are luxurious and filled with charm, and the views from some parts of the camp, including the dining area, are some of the biggest anywhere in the park.

The Northern Serengeti is a true gem. Its rolling grasslands, hills, and the iconic Mara River create a unique landscape. This quieter area of the Serengeti is home to an array of wildlife, including big cats and elephants, making it a must-visit for safari enthusiasts.

• Explore the Northern Serengeti on a guided game drive, discovering its incredible wildlife and scenic landscapes.

• Another guided game drive through Northern Serengeti National Park, offering more opportunities to observe its magnificent fauna.

• Serengeti Bushtops
  You'll be staying at Serengeti Bushtops while you're in Northern Serengeti National Park. It's a lovely place to return to at the end of your safari day

Your first glimpse of Ngorongoro Crater will leave you awestruck. This vast, natural bowl spans 19 kilometers (12 miles) across and is home to a self-contained ecosystem. Protected by high crater walls, the area hosts diverse habitats and abundant wildlife, including lions, hyenas, elephants, and the rare black rhino. During your guided game drive, you’ll explore forests, salty lakes, and rolling plains teeming with life.

• Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day guided game drive, uncovering its unique wildlife and landscapes.

Meals – Day 8:

• Lemala Ngorongoro
  Stay in an acacia forest on the eastern rim of Ngorongoro Crater at Lemala Ngorongoro. It's quiet here, but you're close to the access road for exploring the crater in all its glory and with all its wildlife. Luxury tents, solar-powered everything, and fine dining and service mean that visitors love staying here.

Activities – Day 9:

• Some extra time in Arusha is a fine way to rest from life on the African road and enjoy the comforts of city living.
• Your safari in Tanzania will come to an end, bringing to a close your time in this remarkable country. We're sure that you have had the most wonderful time.
• Morning: Your early morning descent into Ngorongoro Crater is a fantastic way to begin your safari day. The guided game drive will take in all the best views, as well as wildlife that could include lions, hyenas and black rhinos.
• You'll be dropped off at your hotel in one of our company vehicles.
